Our Team
Monica Nankoma
Uganda Country Director
Monica is responsible for the management of all of ADI’s activities in Uganda, including the recruitment of students, monitoring students’ academic performance, and overseeing counseling and medical services as well as supervising the staff and ADI’s offices in Kampala. Monica is the liaison between the Ugandan and New York offices of ADI. She works closely with the Board of Directors in the U.S. to ensure the implementation of ADI’s goals, policies and programs.
Monica has a degree in Business Studies and Marketing Management from Cyprus Institute of Management – B.V.I. Before joining ADI, Monica served as the Director of Life in Africa and worked on the Invisible Children bracelets campaign. Prior to that, Monica held corporate positions at Weigh Tec International and Danitrax Uganda Ltd.
Micheal Kamanyire
Receptionist & Workshop Patron
Micheal is responsible for the general security, maintenance, and upkeep of our Uganda office. Micheal also acts as "dorm father” during our biannual leadership workshops, supervising our male students to ensure they are safe, fed, on schedule, and complying with the workshop rules.
